Preparing a loved one’s heart for Jesus

John 3:5

Since my Praise and Thanksgiving Report this month shares my answered prayer for someone I dearly love to receive Christ, I’d like to share a prayer that you may want to use for someone who is loved by you, who might also need salvation.

Jesus answered. “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.” John 3:5

Dear Almighty Father,

I feel in my heart, my loved one ____________________________, may be in need of a personal relationship with Your Son, Jesus. I don’t want to risk (him/her) going through life and missing out on the most important relationship (he/she) could possibly ever have.

Lead me Holy Spirit, reveal to me according to the Father’s Will, what my part may be if any. I step back and let you lead and guide me. If it is so I may witness to ____________________________ through how I live my life, may the Christ Who lives within me shine.

If it is to plant seeds, please Holy Spirit, prepare (his/her) heart and fill me with wisdom and understanding. If it is to share Christ with ________________________, I ask You, Holy Spirit, to present the opportunity, the words and the timing.

I am Your humble servant Father, and will faithfully by the grace and strength of my beloved Jesus, be Your ambassador.

Help me to resist doing more than You ask. I know You will ready (his/her) heart and I surrender the need to see the harvest, to see the end result, for I know You have Your own timing and that only You can change (his/her) mind, not me. As I wait patiently, I will faithfully continue to pray for_________________________.

I give You Father, all the glory, today and everyday. In Jesus’ holy name I pray.

Amen
